Berkdrums One of the many great things the ARCHIVES label brought me is that I got Yoyu / Ali Khan on my radar... This is insane!: why is this guy not a well-known, huge ambient-name among the ambient-afficionados?!! One masterpiece after the other... Don’t let terms as yoga and meditation fool you (although these masterpieces are definitely more than suited for them), this is SONIC BLISS!! I can come up with big names like Marconi Union, Darshan Ambient, Chronotope Projekt, Rudy Adrian, Phillip Wilkerson, to name a few.. Yoyu deserves a place among them. One of the things I really love: the rhythmic loops, pads with chords, sounds, melodies on top that are just stunningly beautiful. But the rhythmic loops don’t need a mechanical beat out of a box, which you hear all the time these days... On Temple Of The Lucid Heart there’s some beatlooping, but so very tasteful and groovy..! It’s all done with such passion and love for this kind of ambient.. Bravo Ali!, hopefully there will be some physical product released in the near future! Count me in for those!

With these sounds, I share my love of listening and relationship to Empty Spaces - uncrowded, sacred places to be, perhaps to drop out of the hurried game of modern life.

These improvisational performances were tracked mostly live, with all their imperfections and inspirations. The sonic palette for this album started with processed recordings of a church, lake, forest trail, a temple... I cherish every album for its own reasons, yet this one feels like the deepest, most intimate one I've created. There's a texture, richness and gnarl about this recording that feels just right.

Having made a personal commitment to communicate using sound, the "no more words" ethos has become a transformative way of sharing these ideas with you.

I hope this music helps you along your path, and I love you.
